“Brothers and sisters, this is the real world that we live in,” says Bernie Sanders. Indeed. And Sanders’ fidelity to the imperialist system that enforces U.S. hegemony over that world promises ever greater hardship and misery for all of humanity.
The emails that worked to undermine the Sanders campaign also reveal war crimes and crimes against humanity by former secretary of state Clinton, not least of which were approvals of CIA drone assassinations by cellphone. (President Obama’s killer drone program is endorsed by Senator Sanders.)
Bernie Sanders’ capitulation to neoliberal policy confirms that there will be no savior from the Democratic Party. “Not a dime’s worth of difference separates Democrats from Republicans on issues mattering most,” writes blogger Stephen Lendman. “Sanders is part of the problem, not the solution.”
Mass resistance independent of the electoral process is urgently needed! Join World Can’t Wait in the streets of Philadelphia to protest or send money to support the work of those on the frontline.

Notes from Philadelphia
Everywhere we go, with model drones and signs highlighting the seven countries that the US is regularly bombing, we’re met with cheers. We’re chanting “No More Endless War” and “Stop The Fracking, Stop The War” and finding friends everywhere. Amidst a lot of talk about voting and lots of people chanting “Hell No, DNC, We Won’t Vote for Hillary” it’s vitally important that we’re out in the streets, bringing the message that humanity and the planet come first – and that choosing between a war criminal and a fascist is no choice at all.
Just this past week, the US killed at least 95 civilians, including young children, in Northern Syria. This was not an aberration. This is the policy of the Democratic Party. And Clinton promises us even more of the same.
The idea that it’s a lesser evil to kill whole families of civilians compared to Trump’s threats to go after family members of suspected associates of ISIS shows how illegitimate this system is.
We’re still here through the week: join in!

Actively engaging others on the streets this week – read the flier here.
When reporters from Channel 24 in Pakistan saw our signs, above, including their own country, they ran over to shoot footage, including close-ups of the back of our shirt that reads “Humanity & the Planet Come First” in mulitple languages, including Urdu. We aim to continue to reach that international audience with our message that we, living in this country, need to take responsibility to stop the crimes of our government.
