The world is becoming a more dangerous place because of Washington’s use of drones. That’s according to Debra Sweet, the Director of The World Can’t Wait who says "everything the U.S. is doing with these drones is making the world more dangerous."
In an interview with Press TV’s U.S. Desk on Monday, Sweet said "the U.S. military is increasingly using drones in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and possibly Sudan." She pointed out that unmanned drones are also being used on the U.S.-Mexico border for surveillance.
Sweet criticized the U.S for its "unjust occupation of Afghanistan" and stressed that the use of drones that "kill from a long distance" will only spell into more civilian casualties.
According to a July 2009 report by the Brookings institution, the drone attacks in Pakistan have killed ten civilians for every militant killed.
The Obama administration has intensified drone attacks in Pakistani territory.
The unsanctioned attacks by U.S. unmanned planes on Pakistan’s border with Afghanistan almost claimed the lives of 1,200 people last year. Many of the victims are innocent people among them women and children.

According to WikiLeaks documents, the Yemeni government covered up U.S. drone strikes in the country and claimed the bombs were its own. telegraph.co.uk
Several reports have emerged suggesting that the United States has deployed a number of Predator drones to Yemen in the hopes of launching attacks across the country, as they have in Pakistan’s tribal areas. antiwar.com
