I wish all of you a happy new year. Thanks to your hundreds of donations from $4 to $2500, the World Can’t Wait fund raiser brought in close to $26,000 by December 31. We were able to speak with hundreds by phone and learned that how you value the work of World Can’t Wait, and donate as an important way of being involved in it.
You can count on this work continuing, and on being asked for further donations! The goal — to fund anti-war protests and the We Are Not Your Soldiers tour for 2011 is $64,000 by January 31. I really appreciate that more of you have signed up to be monthly sustainers. We can now do this directly through worldcantwait.net, instead of through Paypal. Through our fiscal sponsor, Alliance for Global Justice, those of you who wish to have tax deductions can make monthy recurring donations. Write me for help in arranging that.

Andy is traveling from London. Many of you have read his work on our site; he is the premier "expert" on the conditions of the detainees at Guantanamo. See his article below.
