  1. Thank you kitty. It would also be nice if it was the last time you used one tiny piece of minutia to form your entire opinion on a complex issue like wiki.

    The reason that Ellisberg supports globalresearch.ca is for their OBJECTIVE REPORTING.
    That is why they are valuable on wiki. They have run many stories in the past using wiki leaks to help them make their point. Nobody is saying it is wrong for wiki to point out that Bush was a torture monger…..but do we really need wiki to tell us that?

    In any case I suppose I should be thankful that you have at least ceased in equating globalresearch with insane right wing flat earthers as you did in comment #20.
    Anyone at this stage of the game must realize that the globalists and oligarchs who dominate our puppet governments are capable of complex propaganda moves. Surely the entire list of Julian Assange approved media outlets are all known proven reich wing war enabling rags. New York Times being the top of the list.

    Still avoiding the Assange and W Bush lock step views on 911? His numerous ties to spooks and elite media scum?
    His very useful demonization of Iran North Korea and Cuba? This is how wiki is being used by corporate media.
    Should we at least consider the notion that he is a fake? Yes.

    Notice I am not the one telling people what to think. I am encouraging them to read more, learn more and then to make an informed decision about wiki and Assange.

    In any case, it is painfully obvious that you are part of this site and that they have been tasked with selling wiki as credible.

    The award winning well respected site globalresearch.ca which opposes war, globalization, corporate control of our governments, torture and corrupt media has much of value to add to the wiki issue. Your dismissive negative hostile attitude towards that site is pathetic and wrong.
    Your fastidious continual avoidance of Assange and his lock step views with Bush on internet censorship, selling war against Iran, and 911 truth and Cuba say much about you.

Talk about off topic and non-sensical, especially when it’s because of Wikileaks, the world is finally seeing what the Bush administration wrought against the free peoples of the world … and again … Daniel Ellsberg is a financial contributer as well as commentator at GlobalResearch.ca … he’s also a hero of the 70s, having released the Pentagon Papers … I’m starting to think you don’t read what you’re promoting or that you’ve made all this up out of thin air and I still don’t see where I have slandered you, libeled you or insulted you so I think now I’m just going to ignore you in the hopes that you stop trying to drag me into your drama and I don’t drag you into mine.   8. Edward…assuming for a second that any of what you say has any merit (which I don’t), what is it exactly that you propose the people do? sit back and say, “ain’t it awful?”

    I think you can tell a lot about a political line by the way the ruling class responds to it, and the way that it either brings people forward or pushes them back. Your “analysis” seems to me to be paranoid conspiracy theory designed to convince people that the truth is so deeply buried under layers of obfuscation that we’ll never get to it–and so we should just be content that we are the only ones who “really know what’s going on”.

    We have a responsibility to act on the the bloody truths about the crimes of this government that Wikileaks has brought to light, and defend them for doing so.   10. Lina, what if Assange is merely a controlled asset leaking things that most people who pay attention already know for the sole purpose of selling internet censorship?

    With dirty Joe Lieberman already introducing a bill to do just that. Assange is the problem and censorship of truth telling sites is the solution.
    There is a lot of very clear evidence that supports that. The well respected liberal site globalresearch.ca has it very well covered. Your lack of interest and curiosity is disappointing, and your insulting video shows you to be on the same page as TK. It must suck to be you.

I have read the articles and I am keeping up with all the news stories via the internet and various people who are connected to Wikileaks … am I to believe that, Visa and Mastercard as well as PayPal, losing revenue is also part of this “political theater” too? More than anything else I follow the money not the pundits, bloggers or news sites … you might want to check that out for yourself though …

  15. There is a very large well informed group of people who are talking openly about Assange and the notion that he is actually part of the establishment and his efforts benefit them. Demonizing Iran and Korea while dividing people into the usual right left divide to fight amongst themselves.

  18. Julian Assange, editor-in-chief of WikiLeaks, imprisoned in solitary confinement in London, after willingly turning himself in last week for questioning on sexual assault accusations in Sweden, deserves the support of everyone concerned with human rights and justice.

    Why? Not because rape is a “non-issue” but because he is not being persecuted because he might be a rapist – rather because he has exposed the ugly truth about what the most powerful country is doing around the world. When is a supposed rapist pursued by Interpol across international borders with a “most wanted” Red Alert? When are accused men vilified in the press this way? When are prominent figures held in segregation, without bail, after voluntarily turning themselves in for questioning? When are public officials allowed to call for the assassination of journalists – without repercussion?

    If Assange is guilty of sexual assault, then he should be prosecuted for it. However, there are three things that should be noted here.

    First, EVEN if Assange IS guilty of sexual assault – let’s say for the sake of argument – then that does not impact the truth of the documents, the government’s own documents, that Wikileaks has released. It is, in other words, not relevant to the documents revelations.

    Second, the charges against Assange look for all the world to be a sham.

    Third, the use of rape charges against people the government is trying to destroy is a very old trick and the timing and nature of this case should make you think about that. It raises a whole field’s worth of red flags. Red herrings are the stock and trade of deceitful governments.

I’m still waiting for people to realize that Abortions Rights are really Civil Rights, for women … I was with Carol Downing, Gloria Steinham and Carol Broberg when the Wilshire Feminist Health Center was doing “menses extractions” before abortion was legalized and I was 10 years old at the time, in the company of my mother.

  29. @ Keesha, in case you weren’t aware of this … the woman who is accusing him of rape is a CIA agent and she won’t even be in the country to testify one way or another for the next 3 months … something is very fishy there. Originally they told Julian Assange that they wanted to test him for STDs because apparently the condom broke, now the USA wants him extradited to charge him with espionage, all this courtesy of the Patriot Act.

Simply put: They are amongst a growing number of people who to dismantle the “national security state.” We want the truth about 911 and many other questions about who is really running the government of the United States.
