The U.S. Commits more Murders by Missile in Pakistan

 By Kenneth J. Theisen

The Obama administration committed some two dozen murders on Tuesday when it fired at least a score of missiles into North Waziristan, Pakistan along the Afghan border.

According to news reports at least 24 people were killed in the attacks when the missiles struck cars, homes, and tents across a widespread area.

North Waziristan has been the target of nearly 30 U.S. missile attacks since the beginning of the year. The other attacks have also resulted in scores of murders.

These extra-judicial assassinations and murders have been a regular feature of the Obama administration since coming into office last year. The Obama administration has outdone even the murderous Bush regime when it comes to these illegal assaults into Pakistani territory.

While Pakistani officials routinely protest the missile strikes on its territory as violations of Pakistani sovereignty, it is likely that at least some Pakistan government officials are complicit in the attacks. The corrupt Pakistan government and military have received billions of dollars in U.S. aid since the beginning of the U.S. war of terror in 2001.

The U.S. government also continues to pressure Pakistan to aid it in its war of terror. Obama made statements about Pakistan’s role on May 12th when he stated, “I think what you have seen over the last several months is a growing recognition that they have a cancer in their midst. I am actually encouraged from what I have seen from the Pakistani government over the last several months.

But just as it’s going to take some time for Afghanistan’s economy, for example, to fully recover from 30 years of war, it’s going to take some time from Pakistan, even if there is a will, to find a way in order to effectively deal with these extremists in areas that are fairly loosely governed from Islamabad.”

Of course U.S. apologists, when even acknowledging these extra-judicial killings, claim they are aimed at “terrorists.” But the so-called terrorists killed regularly include women and children. They have included members of wedding parties and those attending funerals, as well as many quietly sleeping before they are murdered.

And let us assume that some of those killed are those that are actually the intended victims of the attacks by the U.S. When did Obama and his henchmen and women get the legal power to carry out assassinations and extra-judicial killings? When did Obama become judge, jury and executioner? When was international law set aside to allow these crimes? Why are not these crimes being condemned in the mainstream media? Why isn’t Congress investigating them? Where are the prosecutors? Or are the media, the legislature, the prosecutors, etc. complicit in these crimes?

Who will hold the Obama administration accountable? If not you and millions like you, then who will do so?
