George W. Bush could have delivered every single word, every single phrase, every phony and deluded claim, from the mouth of the current president at West Point last night.

As Tariq Ali said yesterday, this escalation and decision to continue this unjust, illegal war and occupation may well be Obama’s most fateful decision.
To “me:”
1. The Taliban offered to put Osama Bin Laden on trial after 9/11. Bush refused the offer. Why? Because Bush wanted to invade and dominate Afghanistan.
2. The Taliban and Al-Qaeda owe their roots to the U.S. efforts to destabilize the pro-Soviet Afghan government because they wanted to provoke a Soviet invasion and turn it into Russia’s Vietnam.
3. The so-called war on terror which is really a war of terror exacerbates and provokes anti-state terror, not the reverse.
Does any of this mean anything to you? Or are you content to keep your head in the soil where facts and logic can’t penetrate?
you people will be the first to cry out, i don’t feel safe in my own home if obama was to pull out and leave the taliban etc. to carry out more terroist acts on american soil. get your heads out of your ass and see what is really going on.
