was a guest on GREEN 960AM (KKGN) radio’s Angie Coiro Show where the
topic was professor John Yoo’s highly controversial inclusion in the
faculty of the University of California in Berkeley. Debra detailed
World Can’t Wait contributions to efforts of the Bay Area NO TO TORTURE
– JOHN YOO MUST GO! Coalition to fire, disbar and prosecute this war
criminal, including sponsorship of a billboard situated just outside
the university campus that calls for accountability of those who allow
Yoo’s position to go unchallenged.
Media Relations Director of the Boalt Hall Law School Susan Gluss attempted to provide cover for the University’s reluctance to investigate whether Yoo’s conduct while working at the US Department of Justice constituted breach of the university’s professional code.
East Bay Express newspaper contributor Robert Gammon argued for Yoo’s dismissal (see his feature article “The Torture Professor” at http://tinyurl.com/6qb3ft ) based on the actual harm incurred by that professor’s work.
