Listen to a speech given by Rev. John Fife at a teach-in held Nov. 28, 2006 at the University of Arizona sponsored by the World Can’t Wait – Drive Out the Bush Regime:
Reverend John Fife recently retired after 35 years as pastor of Southside Presbyterian Church in Tucson. He co-founded the Sanctuary Movement in 1981: his church provided sanctuary on church property for 12,000 -15,000 Central American refugees during the 1980s. He was elected national head of the Presbyterian Church, USA in 1992-3. In July 2002, he and a group, including representatives of nine faith communities, formed the Samaritan Patrol, now part of No More Deaths. He is a signatory of the Call to Drive Out the Bush Regime. He greatly enjoys going hunting with his grandson. Please welcome Reverend John Fife.
