In Everett, we did sign-waving and leafletting from two locations a few blocks apart. We were frequently mistaken for a Peace Action group that does a weekly vigil on Fridays at one of the locations. There was considerable conversation between participants and some with passersby. Responses were mostly positive. Connections were made between participants which will undoubtedly result in continued contact.
We had participation from men, women and children ranging in age from
6 to well past 60. Some first time activists as well as seasoned
veterans. Elementary school and high school students were there, some
of whom took the day off, and others who came when school got out. We
had Veterans for Peace, teachers, union members, and Democratic Party
Officials.
