The day began with a rally at Triangle Park. People had signs and drums. One sign showed pictures of the ABU GRAIB scandal with a slogan “Family Values”. Another sign said “Bush campaigns on fear, the only thing bush fears is less fear.”
The triangle park portion of the demonstration, peaked at about 30 demonstraters. Although the crowd of demonstraters was small, I recieved more Beeps, waves, thumbs up, and peace signs than I ever have working on senate and Governor campains.
At 4PM, the demonstration moved to downtown Portland Maine. The location was Monument Square. The crowed picked up and in my estimation peaked with 50-60 demonstraters. More children were present, and they were banging on their drums
chanting “Bush must go, Bush must go.”
Nine Eleven Truthers, where present as well chanting “9/11 was an inside job.” A man named Dave gave a quick speach saying how it was odd that the so called terrorists hit the accounting office of the pentagon, while an investigation into trillions missing from the pentagon was taking place.
All in all it was a fun day.
