I’M ANGRY, Boy Am I Angry…
World Can’t Wait, October 5, 2006. World Can’t Wait????
Hell,
I can’t wait. To the Barricades! Pickforks and Tiki Torches. This is
the LAST chance (before Nov.7th) to let this administration, this
congress, the Media,our fellow citizens know just what real patriots
are thinking.
I won’t re-iterate the long list of crimes,
propaganda, fear mongering and all the rest. If you’re reading this you
already know.
But here’s the thing. I’ve signed every on-line
petition. I’ve called my Congressman and Senators. I’ve e-mailed,
snail-mailed and tried to get an appointment. NADA, Nuttin’.
I’ve
joined in the small local protests. I was pepper hosed at the Counter
Inaugural in 2005. I participated in the Sept. 24th protest in DC.
(600,000 CNN). Worked on campaigns, belived in electoral
politics.Couldn’t afford to make it to Camp Democracy.
I
survived the progressive turf wars and managed to not join a “group” or
take a side. We have all got to come together. OCTOBER 5TH. New York,
DC, San Fran, Orlando, in cities across America. Including my own
Gainesville Florida.
Whether you are Code Pink, or UFPJ, or
A.N.S.W.E.R. or PDA, or Greens, or CCAWT, or Quakers, or Dems, or
ducks, or cat lovers, or money lovers. You have got to participate.
You’ve just GOTTA.
OCTOBER 5TH IS THE VERY LAST CHANCE BEFORE
THE NOVEMBER ELECTIONS TO GET OFF YOUR SEATS AND INTO THE STREETS.
STAND UP, SPEAK UP, SHOW UP!. (yes, I wanted to shout)
In EVERY
town, on every street, at every TV, Radio, Print office. October 5th.
Put in your day off request now. Right NOW! Skip school and tell them
why. Bring a note from your conscience.
You don’t have to go
far (who can afford the gas anyway), you don’t have to do much. Holding
a sign with thousands of others is plenty.
And I’ll say it again. This is the LAST CHANCE to Speak UP Speak OUT, SHOW UP.
Here’s
another thing. I’ve read everything I can get my eyes on. Ya’ll read
them too. Borrowed the books from the library, and even bought one or
two. Saw all the DVD’s and bitched, just like ya’ll.
And I’m
ANGRY! I lost my last good job after 9/11, lost my middle class house
too. My husband’s job went to India. failure. My hubby got another job
for$22K LESS. We filed our bankruptcy just before the legislation. I
now live in a rental trailer. I’m going to be the next Kartina victim
of this administration’s 2006 hurricane season.
Oh boy, am I ANGRY!
I have 24 year old twin sons, ripe for the comming “Compulsary Service” I have 3 grandchildren (‘nuf said about THAT).
I
am ANGRY! I’m done with being polite. I’m done with reasoned argument.
I’m done with trying to prod awake the sleepy. I’m done re-framing the
issue. Sheesh. I’m done being co-opted by my elected officials.
I’m done being ignored, ridiculed, and labeled facist. I’m done being ashamed and afraid and cautious.I am DONE.
If
World Can’t Wait’s OCTOBER 5th day of mass protest is under attended,
under covered, under mined, well… Last Chance squandered.
And if the sane do not manage to take back the House and/or the Senate, well, fellow travellers…

8th I’m not going to do it anymore. And you probably shouldn’t either.
I’m going off the progressive net, I’m growing my own veggies. I’m
looking for a place in Mexico.
