September 11, 2006.
5 years ago, a few days after 911, artists performed “Our Grief is Not a Cry for War”. More than 100 artists stood silently and motionless for an hour, all wearing black, all wearing dust masks, all holding signs that read “Our Grief is Not a Cry for War”. By the evening we were all over the web, finally people in the U.S. were saying no.
ON MONDAY SEPTEMBER 11, 2006 WE WILL BE PERFORMING AGAIN. The
performance will be updated with a set of signs in Arabic to address
the horror that Bush has unleashed on the world in the last 5 years.
Sep 11. Can we let this day go by? Relentlessly, Bush invokes 9/11
as justification for torture, lying, spying and war, endless endless
warÑAfghanistan, Iraq, Iran?!? And now nukes? We must bring this to a
halt.
Join us in the performance.
