Your government suppresses the science that
doesn’t fit its religious, political and economic agenda, forcing
present and future generations to pay a terrible price.
CBS’s 60 Minutes reported on government suppression of
warnings of and calls to stop global warming from one of the world’s
leading researchers on the subject. James Hansen, a top scientist
at NASA, has documented the mountain of evidence of impending danger of
global warming to the planet and its people, and called for the
government to take immediate measures to stop this threat. Yet
his reports have been subject to “edits” which distort the scientific
evidence to make it look inconclusive by Phil Cooney, Bush’s
chief-of-staff of the Council on Environmental Quality. Cooney is
a former lawyer and lobbyist for the American Petroleum Institute with
no scientific background.
Hansen himself has been censored, with the government refusing to
allow him to speak freely to the media, and the White House reviewing
all NASA press releases pertaining to climate control.
In contrast to the Bush regime’s attempts to obfuscate the truth
about global warming, when asked about whether humans were impacting
the climate, Hansen said, “There’s no doubt about that. The
natural changes, the
speed of the natural changes is now dwarfed by the changes that humans
are making to the atmosphere and to the surface.” And further,
“In my more than three decades in the government I’ve never witnessed
such restrictions on the ability of scientists to communicate with the
public.”
This criminal regime in power might suppress it, but the truth is
that global warming is happening. And if this blatant suppression
of science is not stopped, it will have grave consequences for humanity.
The World Can’t Wait! Drive Out the Bush Regime!
