“Your government is openly torturing people, and justifying it.”
Chilling new pictures of torture at Abu Ghraib prison were just revealed by Australia’s SBS Dateline.
The Bush regime has blocked the pictures from being seen even after
a judge ruled to release the photos in a freedom of information act
lawsuit. But now the world can get a bigger glimpse into egregious acts
of torture, which is now unofficial US policy.
The new pictures reveal even worse atrocities than before – a man
with a cut throat, another suffering from severe head injuries, a naked
man hanging upside down from a bed, severe burn marks on shotgun
wounds, an unmuzzled dog menacing a hooded prisoner, and more. As
retired Brig. General Janis
Karpinski, former commander
Abu Ghraib prison, testified at the Bush Crimes Commission,
this torture is ordered, sanctioned, and covered up by the likes of
Donald Rumsfeld, General Sanchez, and the CIA. Only a handful of US
soldiers have been convicted of any crime, when in fact it is this
whole criminal regime, along with the on-the-ground perpetrators in
Iraq, who are guilty of torture.
Furthermore, it is morally bankrupt to see these pictures and sit by an allow this to continue. That which you will not resist and mobilize to stop, you will learn (
or be forced ( to accept.
The World Can’t Wait! Drive Out the Bush Regime!
