We had a rally/protest at 4:00 – 5:30 during rush hour – there were about 75 people there at least – from ages 2 – 70+. It was a good crowd – great signs and 2 enormous puppets that people wore on backpack frames – one an Uncle Sam skeleton and the other a giant Bush with some other props. We had good chants, megaphone and a good chant leader and lined 2 sides of the street.Lots of good signs and lots of WCW signs passed out and held up. Good response from drivers. Lots of honking, waving, slowing down and supportive cheers.
SOU event at Escape Coffee House – 52 people from high school students to senior citizens. One couple drove over an hour from the Illinois border to join us. There were a lot of new faces which was great. We had Bush via a projector on a wall, noise makers, one very consistant drumming, boos, hissing and lots of yelling – humor, sarcasm, REAL FACTS and STEP DOWN AND TAKE YOUR WHOLE PROGRAM WITH YOU!!!
