The Justice Department is launching an investigation into the leak
about Bush’s secret order for the NSA to spy on Americans without
warrants. Yes, that’s right; they’re going after whoever exposed the
truth about Bush’s Orwellian spy order. As Bush threatened the day
after the NY Times published the story, “the existence of this secret
program was revealed in media
reports after being improperly provided to news organizations.
Revealing classified
information is illegal, alerts our enemies and endangers our country.”
Now the Justice Department is making good on this threat by going after and attempting to punish
journalists.
The ones who should be investigated are Bush and his criminal
regime. This NSA spying order is not only intolerable, but blatantly
illegal, and many are calling for investigation and impeachment. The
Bush regime is completely reversing what’s right with their attempts to
punish those who exposed their illegal actions. We cannot allow another
year of this fascist direction.
