A heart-felt appeal from a high school activist:
This year for the holidays I’m raising money for World Can’t Wait.
Everyone keeps asking me what I want for the holidays and I can’t bring myself to answer…
What I really want is for all the children in the world to sleep at night, with full bellies and worry free minds. What I really want is for all wars to cease and for building to take a front seat to destroying. What I really want is a world in which women aren’t treated as …less human than men from the day they are disappointingly born. What I really want is for all the horrific nightmare-like real life events to be unreal.
It just sounds silly to ask for something knowing that it’s unattainable. I always thought that a better world was unattainable, that is until I found World Can’t Wait. If anybody can make a denting difference detrimental to the disgusting and dreadful current reality, it’s World Can’t Wait. Look at what they’ve done with the CRIMES ARE CRIMES statement and WE ARE NOT YOUR SOLDIERS.
World Can’t Wait is one of the few things that gives me hope for this world. So, if you’re going to get me anything, please give me the gift of hope through World Can’t Wait. Give the gift of hope to all generations to come when you donate to this phenomenal organization. And Happy Holidays!!!
