How fine a society is this?
Let’s take stock, shall we? Our august leaders are such a wonderful lot. They range from AG Eric Holder (who can’t seem to find a reason to prosecute self-confessed torturers such as Bush and Cheney) but who declares that he will find a way to put Assange away, even if it means changing the law, and Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein (who wants Assange to be sentenced to 2.5 million years in prison – I kid you not) to GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee who wants Assange executed for treason and GOP presidential aspirant Sarah Palin who said to ABC after her website got targetted by hackers carrying out what they call "Operation Payback" in retaliation for her and Mastercard, VISA, Amazon, and PayPal’s attacks on Wikileaks, withdrawing Wikileaks’ ability to receive donations and to be hosted on their sites even though they have committed no crimes (although VISA and Mastercard still allow the KKK to collect money!):
"No wonder others are keeping silent about Assange’s antics. This is what happens when you exercise the First Amendment and speak against his sick, un-American espionage efforts."
So, let me get this straight, Sarah: You’re exercising your First Amendment rights when you call for Assange’s and Wikileaks’ First Amendment rights to be nullified, but they are treasonous and terroristic precisely because they are exercising the right to free speech?
Our fantastic leaders of both parties declare that those who have revealed the truth about what these very august leaders themselves and others in their ranks (such as our esteemed diplomatic corps) have said and done in secret cables deserve to be murdered and have to be silenced toute suite.
Destroying their right to reveal the truth is the very most important thing to do in the whole wide world. Because if we don’t do this, then, my friends, we simply cannot continue to have our greatest country that has ever been in which everyone, rich and poor, male or female, black, white, brown, yellow, or red, of whatever creed, has the god given right to say and think what they wish because we are the LAND of LIBERTY and HOME of the BRAVE. Anyone who thinks differently can go to jail and/or get ready to die.
Please change your references to “Wikipedia” to Wikileaks like they should be and I’ll be happy to share this everywhere!
