Thousands Protest Unjust Wars in San Francisco

Posted on March 23, 2010
Share:

Last Saturday in San Francisco, thousands gathered to protest the illegitimate wars and occupations, with close to 3,000 at the height of the march that looped through the Tenderloin, Downtown, and then back up Market Street.

The broad coalition of activist groups and individuals received overwhelmingly positive responses from people on the sides of the streets and perhaps over a thousand people joined in the march on the spot.

To those of you who met World Can’t Wait at these protests and signed up to join the movement of resistance, welcome! World Can’t Wait is on a mission to mobilize millions through mass independent resistance to stop the crimes of your government.

Looking at the above banner prompted me to make a summary analysis about that banner:
Americans who are born in America, from the minute they open their eyes, they are bombarded by the ruling class media with the nonsense, such as that they are fed, they are free and the country is the richest country in the world. Naturally, they get brain washed and indoctrinated with these fallacies. And the next fallacy is the phrase of ” our government”. I would like to shed some light on these baseless brain washing:
First, according the latest statistic from US Dept. of Agriculture, 1out of 7 Americans Struggling to find something to eat (this is not being fed); according to same statistic 50 million Americans don’t know where their next meal is going to come from or how to pay for (this in not being fed); A country in which its citizenry are struggling to survive, a country with 12 trillion dollars debt can not be considered rich, let alone the richest; the majority of Americans living under the suffocating yoke of wage- slavery and hardly there is an American left who has not been incarcerated (wage-slavery and incarceration are not freedom.)
Once one of the social elites called this government “government of the riches, for the riches, by the riches.” Therefore, I hope we de-brainwash ourselves of these fallacies and specially stop calling this government “our government” This government is dictatorship of the riches and democracy for the riches.
