END THE WAR NOW!
IMPEACH BUSH FOR WAR CRIMES!
1/27/07: George Bush is bringing the world to the brink. After millions voted against the war, lies, and torture, what did we get? More troops and the threat of a cataclysmic war with Iran. Bush said last week: “Yeah… [Congress] could try to stop me … But I made my decision, and we’re going forward.”
The war, the torture, and the secret detentions are War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity. Bush’s full program remains in effect and must be thoroughly repudiated by removing him from office before his term expires. Otherwise, the direction he has taken society will be legitimated and made permanent.
The War in Iraq has become such a disaster and so outraged the people of this country, that Congress is now voicing symbolic opposition, while figuring out how to rescue US interests in this debacle. As the World Can’t Wait Call says, “politics as usual cannot meet the enormity of the challenge . . . We, in our millions, must and can take responsibility to change the course of history.“
The demand to Impeach Bush for War Crimes can catapult the struggle to make ending the war and driving out the Bush Regime a reality. As impeachment becomes imminent, Bush’s war options will grow more limited; the more his war crimes are exposed, the greater the impetus for his removal and repudiation.
The challenge is this: Are we going to move heaven and earth to bring the criminal Bush regime to a halt, ending the war and driving them from power? Now is the time. 2008 is too late. It is unconscionable to allow the carnage to life and justice to go on. Join Us.
