The fascist-in-chief, while ordering a barrage of strikes on Iran over the last 13 days — killing hundreds of Iranians — bragged that “only” 18 U.S. military had been killed during the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran, as opposed to 55,000 killed in the U.S. war on Vietnam. While traveling to the transfer of the bodies of four recently killed, Trump used their deaths to endorse the war. From The New York Times:
All of them said very strongly, ‘We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon,’” Mr. Trump said as he traveled to Dover Air Force Base to attend the dignified transfer. “They won’t have a nuclear weapon. So we’re going to honor them”…The president did not say how he knew the fallen soldiers’ views, but he decided to speak for them at a perilous political moment.
As is typical for U.S. war criminals, they use the deaths for which they are responsible to call for more destruction including, in Trump’s case, the war crimes of destroying civilian infrastructure:

We are at a moment where this aggressive war could quickly expand beyond the region, involving other nuclear superpowers and endangering the whole globe. This is crazy and horrifying, for no good purpose. Why did it begin?
“The U.S. and Israel attacked Iran, which has vast oil and gas reserves and is situated at a key strategic location, because it wasn’t under the U.S. thumb. Added to that, Iran’s Islamic Republic was posing a sharp challenge to U.S. domination of the Middle East, as well as to Israel. This region, located at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa, is home to both crucial trade routes and over half the world’s fossil fuel reserves. So, controlling it is critical to U.S. global dominance.
In short, this wasn’t a war for any “noble” or just purpose, it was a totally unprovoked predatory war for imperialist domination and plunder.”

1. We oppose all aggression against the people of Iran by the U.S. and Israel.
2. We defend the rights of people in Iran against repression by their own government.
Growing prisoner resistance in Iran needs reality-based support — posted from FreeIransPoliticalPrisonersNow
As overall executions continue to surge—850 (!) so far in the first half of 2026, according to iranrights.org— the “No to Execution Tuesdays” prison hunger strike persisted into its 128th week on July 7, now across 57 prisons, with last week’s addition of Kerman Prison in southeast Iran. This organized and determined struggle to protest state murder, including that of many young people and political prisoners, must be supported by all those who yearn for justice in our world….
The governments of the U.S. and Iran act from their national interests. And, in this instance, we the people of the U.S. and Iran, along with the people of the world, have OUR shared interests, as part of getting to a better world: to unite to defend the political prisoners of Iran. In the U.S., we have a special responsibility to unite very broadly against this vile repression by the IRI, and to actively oppose any war moves by the U.S. government that would bring even more unbearable suffering to the people of Iran….
We demand of the Islamic Republic of Iran: FREE ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS NOW!
We say to the U.S. government: NO THREATS OR WAR MOVES AGAINST IRAN! LIFT SANCTIONS!
