Where will your energies and
funds make a difference? The
political will of millions who are ashamed and distraught about the direction
of the county will not find an outlet or voice in what you can vote for this
fall.
There is no other way for people
to make manifestly clear they want the war ended, that they want the right to
abortion protected, that they think torture is completely immoral. There is no
other way to affirm that evolution and global warming are truths to be acted
upon. There is no other way to bring a government that engages in detaining
people without trial, spies on its citizens, summarily terminates basic
constitutional protections, silences dissent and is well on it’s way to
becoming a police state to a Halt – than people delivering this mandate in the
streets.
Changing the course of history
is up to us. It is up to us to construct a vehicle that can give voice and
political initiative to the millions of people who are looking for a way, who think we can do better in the 21st
century than turning the globe into a high tech dark age, and who want to act. You are there and you are not
alone. But to galvanize this into
a political force needs funding. Money is not optional if you want to reach the
millions who have not heard of World Can’t Wait in the same kind of ads you
first found us. A half million is
needed by mid September to get the word out. The World Can’t Wait is aiming to
speak through the national media where the debate needs to break open and this
takes being able to purchase new ads and money to hire the many dedicated young
people who could give us the infrastructure needed.

September….Here is how you can get involved
1) Make a donation today to run a new ad THIS WEEK in the New York Times, The LA
Weekly, The Chicago Reader, The Washington DC City Paper and El Diario. New
voices are recording ads for Air America (money still to be raised: 50 K this
week). All ads will be announcing the September 7th meetings. Donate $50 or more today and receive a
full color glossy poster of the Call.
2) Write a personal note on why
you are funding World Can’t Wait and send this fund appeal and invitation to
the September 7th meetings taking place in your town to your e-list
and ask people to send to their list. Or snail mail it to your friends and ask
them to send it to their friends.
3) Hold a house party to raise
money for World Can’t Wait. A kit for this can be found on the donate page of
our web site. Watch the new video of the Bush Crimes Commission session in
Berkeley with Daniel Ellsberg, ex British Ambassador Craig Murry, Larry Everest
and Janis Karpinski (available online) and ask your guests to write checks to
World Can’t Wait. But don’t stop
there! Get everyone involved in taking history into their hands and bring new
people into the movement to drive out the Bush Regime – no prior experience
required!
4) Hold a car wash or bake sale,
and sell posters and get out leaflets as you do so.
5) Canvas your neighborhood with our new leaflet to raise money
and invite all your neighbors and friends to the September 7th
meetings.
6) Write an article or put an ad in your professional or church
newsletter, your MySpace page or
music zine (the possibilities are endless — you get the idea).
7) Contact foundations or major
funders that you have a personal connection to, and put them in touch with the World
Can’t Wait National office at 866-973-4463.
