Attorney General Gonzales defended the NSA spy program before
Congress. Republican Senators allowed Gonzales to testify without
taking an oath, meaning he can lie all he wants and not be held
accountable (well, it’s not the first time Congress has allowed this
regime to get away with lying). Gonzales refused to answer many
questions concerning how widespread secret spy programs are and what he
considered within the law, leaving many wondering just what and who
else this regime is spying on.
Gonzales’ main argument was that the burning of the Reichstag…err,
9/11 terrorist attacks allow the President to do whatever he wants and
enact whatever police state measures he wants.
