“This will not be easy. If we speak the
truth, they will try to silence us. If we act, they will try to stop
us. But we speak for the majority, here and around the world, and as we
get this going we are going to reach out to the people who have been so
badly fooled by Bush and we are NOT going to stop.” –The Call to Drive
Out the Bush Regime
On Thursday, leaders of US intelligence
agencies declared that journalists who dare to expose information
regarding classified information will be subject to subpoena. This is
hot on the tails of recent leaks of classified data on the existence of
secret CIA torture chambers throughout Europe. CIA Director Porter Goss
called for a grand jury investigation of reporters suspected of leaking
this kind of information.
Infamous war criminal and National
Intelligence Director John Negroponte proclaimed that the Bush regime
must prevent future intelligence leaks – although none of this was
talked about when diehard Bush supporter Scooter Libby was forced to
resign after being charged with the politically motivated leak of CIA
agent Valerie Plame’s identity. This is a forceful reaction to the
release of information exposing the Bush regime as a criminal empire of
torturers.
