The Bush regime is refusing to turn over certain documents or have
officials testify about its response to Hurricane Katrina to
Congressional investigation. Its reason (you guessed it): executive
privilege, in this instance confidentiality of communications. One
official refusing to testify is none other than Donald Rumsfeld, an
architect of mass-murder in Iraq.
This regime left thousands to die in New Orleans, and continues to
leave thousands more dispersed and being kicked out of hotels and
thrown off of government aid. The fact that it seeks to cover up its
crimes only adds insult to injury.
If you think you know how terrible of an un-natural disaster
Katrina was, you don’t know the half of it – check out the chilling
testimony from Katrina survivors and experts at this past weekend’s International Commission of Inquiry on Crimes Against Humanity Committed by the Bush Administration.
