The very idea that there is someone sitting in the White House,
thinking they should have the power to be able to quite literary
dictate how the affairs of this government should be handled, both
foreign and domestically is totally frightening to me.
I spent over twenty years of my life in the defense of the
constitution of this great nation, the way and very reason for the
wording of this document was to make accountable to the people those
who sit in levels of power in our government.
I feel now, as I did in the military that we need to defend our way
of life, our birth rights as a collection of people in this country.
Not just those on the outside who would take those things from us, but
more importantly those on the inside.
We need to take back the power from those that would take it from
us, and if we don’t act quickly and surely in this matter both at the
polls and with letters and phone calls to our representatives, we will
soon find ourselves looking over our shoulders every time we walk out
of the house.
The right to protection from unlawful search and seizure, gone! The
separation of church and state, gone! The right to peaceably assemble,
gone! The right to an attorney, gone! The right to a fair trial, gone!
The right to feel safe and secure in our very homes and communities,
gone!
All of this and more can be taken from us by a hand full of men and
one woman in our sleep if we don’t all wake up, Democrat, Republican,
liberal, conservative, black, white, Asian, Hispanic , Moslem,
Christian, Jewish, Agnostic.
It would not matter under a system of presidential totality, a government that would have the rule of fist and might.
After all, what kind of a person was it we just captured, and is sitting on trial right now in the Middle East? Think about it.
