When George Bush arrives at the Hilton Towers (720 S. Michigan Avenue, Chicago) at
noon on Friday, we will be there to greet him with our demand, ‘Bush,
Step Down and Take Your Whole Program with You.’ State of the Union?
It’s a State of Emergency! Bring signs, banners, noisemakers. Forward

friends. Let the nation know what we think of this regime!
After limiting his appearances to military
crowds, this is Bush’s first appearance in the “civilian” world in
months. In the face of the NSA spying scandal, the Alito Supreme Court
nomination hearings, and continuing revelations of bribery and
corruption, he has struck back more viciously, painting opposition to
his war and police state measures as “treason” and claiming unlimited
powers as the commander in chief.
A massive crowd needs to greet him, to make
it perfectly clear that we speak for millions who reject his program
and don’t recognize him as their leader. The World Truly Can’t Wait for
three more years.
Every day there is a new reason to drive out
the Bush Regime. More people are starting to actively reject this
regime that is waging an illegitimate and immoral war, making torture
an official policy, suppressing science, threatening to outlaw abortion
and birth control, denying basic rights to gay people, left thousands
of Black people to die on rooftops in New Orleans, and is moving closer
to a theocracy each day.
Silence is not acceptable; that which you will not resist and mobilize to stop you will learn or be forced to accept.
