Today, U.S. and Israel’s military began striking Kharg Island, part of Iran. Trump warns “a whole civilization will die tonight.” In Iran, it’s reported that artists and others are forming human chains along bridges and around power plants across Iran in response to President Trump’s threats to destroy infrastructure. In the western city of Kermanshah, photographs from the semiofficial Mehr news agency showed protesters in front of a power plant carrying a banner that read, “Attacks to electricity infrastructure is considered a war crime.”

It is the responsibility of the American people to stop Trump’s war crimes.
This illegal and illegitimate war on Iran, instigated six weeks ago by a fascist lunatic in power, has already killed thousands, targeted civilians, and carried out war crimes on a daily basis.
Sunday, Trump threatened to take out Iran’s whole power grid and bridge system: “Tuesday will be power plant day and bridge day, all wrapped up in one…” And today, in an equally unhinged press conference, Trump said the entire country of Iran “could be taken out in one night, and that night might be tomorrow.” This is not defense. It is mass slaughter and terror.
Imagine what it is like to be one of Iran’s 93 million people right now. Imagine if that were your country, your loved ones, your home being bombed and terrorized daily by the fascist leader of the most powerful country in the world. This war is being done in our name, and every war crime has our names on it if we do not mobilize in the streets now to demand an end to this war and an end to the Trump Fascist Regime. We cannot allow this fascist gangster to have his finger on the nuclear trigger for another day.
