Although we say the Spring Semester, we did our January and February school visits in freezing New York City. Fortunately, all the schools were heated and comfortable and gave us a warm welcome.
We started out in January with Joe Urgo discussing both his Vietnam experiences as well as his time guarding nuclear installations (unknown then to local residents) here in the U.S. during his time in the Air Force. These two presentations were to students at a Catholic all-male high school.

Our next stop was to a public school with an all-female population where Shaniyat Turani-Chowdhury addressed several classes together during an assembly-type grouping during a double period.

The February visit, also with Shaniyat as the presenter, was a marathon of presentations all day to six different classes at a school with a recent immigrant population. Watch the video to see Shaniyat speaking with one of those classes.
