The Trump fascist regime has surged the largest U.S. military force to the Middle East since George W. Bush’s 2003 illegitimate invasion of Iraq which could launch a war of aggression against Iran at any moment. One cannot know the unintended, or intended, consequences of this threat though apparently some of Trump’s favorite generals are warning him this will be much riskier than his June bombing.
Behrooz Ghamari-Tabrizi of the City University of NY writes, “No one has explained the naked imperialism that the United States pursues in our times better than the Secretary of the State Marco Rubio in his speech last week at the Munich Security Conference.
‘This is the path that President Trump and the United States has embarked upon. It is the path we ask you here in Europe to join us on. It is a path we have walked together before and hope to walk together again. For five centuries, before the end of the Second World War, the West had been expanding – its missionaries, its pilgrims, its soldiers, its explorers pouring out from its shores to cross oceans, settle new continents, build vast empires extending out across the globe.'”
As hated as the Islamic regime in Iran is, the 80 million people living there do not want the “solution” of U.S. domination. And we should not, either. Be ready to protest.
