We Are Not Your Soldiers is booking class visits now. In person, or virtual, students get the real story of what it means to sign up for the U.S. war machine.
We will plan with you for a visit to your class or student organization either in-person or via remote technology. No fee is charged to the educator or the school.

Each presenter has their own story to tell of their experiences in the military and is prepared to answer any questions the students have and to engage in the critical thinking and discussion as we all seek to better understand the history of U.S. military aggressions and what that means to us today. Such conversations are all the more relevant at this historic and tumultuous moment — as fascism takes hold in this country, the military is being sent into our cities and genocide, supported and funded by the U.S., continues in Gaza. The speakers range from Vietnam era through the “war on terror” veterans who were in various branches of the military.
Meet these anti-war veterans: John Burns, Joy Damiani, Rosa del Duca, Will Griffin, Chris “Henri” Henrikson, Miles Megaciph, Lyle Rubin, Brian Teucke, Shaniyat Turani-Chowdhury, Joe Urgo and Miguel Gabriel Vazquez.
We look forward to hearing from you and working together — let us know any particular focus or curriculum area we should be aware of. Preparatory and follow-up materials can be provided. Please share this information with colleagues.
Donations are needed to meet 2025 costs for small stipends to the presenters to help cover time off from work and childcare expenses. We also cover transportation costs. We have minimal materials, office and social media costs. This is a time when truth and justice need courageous proponents. Please help bring us to as many students as possible. There is no other program that consistently goes right into classrooms (high school and college with an occasional middle school) to have these direct deep and critical conversations.
