Joint security forces killed Babiker El Rasheed, 17, shooting him in the chest during Marches in Omdurman. The Marches were called to protest the military coup and restore teachers dignity’ after weeks of teacher & student strikes. Joint forces heavily used tear gas, stun grenades and rubber bullets to repress peaceful demonstrations, which resulted in injuries among protesters. Demonstrators in El Gedaref protested to denounce high cost of living and deterioration of the living situation. They demanded release of detainees, compensation and justice for martyrs, achievement of transitional justice and civilian democratic rule.
