Bullets were fired at demonstrators, which led to the death of 1 protester, shot in the heart, injury of 4 others. Resistance Committees in El Gedaref organised a procession to demand overthrow of the coup and call for comprehensive, democratic civilian rule. The government is buying wheat crops from farmers at 43,000 SDG, called on farmers to increase cultivation in the upcoming season. El Gezira Farmers Alliance announced rejection of the price as unfair and demanded minimum 60,000 SDG–winter season faced many problems: high production costs, failure to clean irrigation canals, expensive irrigation pumps, delay in government production input which will lead to lower production.
