100 detainees in Soba Prison continued a hunger strike for the 4th day. 17 artists held while painting murals near Tahrir Stadium, Khartoum. Neighborhood committees threatened to close the capital and paralyze traffic permanently if detainees are not released. This is not the first time artists are detained. 2020, members of FEED Arts group, and Art is the Solution, were arrested, detained or imprisoned. They played an important role in the revolution that took power after ousting Al Bashir, making murals, films and performances that criticised those in power. Many vocal opponents are still missing. Those recently detained with no charges, prevented from seeing families and lawyers and refused medical care.
