July 9: Actions in 12 U.S. Cities at Canadian Consulates

FREEZE 

Meet 30 minutes prior
to the time we will begin the “freeze” so it can be done with
precision.   

We cannot carry signs in Grand Central Station, but
your t-shirts will be carrying the message of “No Attack on Iran!” and
passersby will see
it and witness you standing frozen. You may have your picture taken,
people may want to speak to you, but you cannot respond. The point is
to act as if you are a mannequin. This is not an illegal action, and
will only be 5 minutes, but we will make an impact.

We enter the terminal
and spread out, acting normally and speaking to each other. We don’t
cluster but spread out, close enough that we make an impact, and far
enough apart that we cover a large area. 

We don’t want to lose the effect of the “silent
protest.”  Prior to entering the Terminal, we will “synchronize our
watches” so that at exactly 5:30 PM, everyone will stop exactly where
they are and freeze what they were doing, whether it was holding a
bottle of water, a paper, flyer, jacket, holding hands, and hold that
pose for 5 MINUTES.
