On Saturday, Jan. 6, 1,200 people spelled out the word “IMPEACH!” in 100-foot-tall letters on San Francisco’s Ocean Beach. Local
cabdriver and travel writer Brad Newsham organized the “Beach Impeach” project, which stood as a rebuke to both President Bush and to new House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who represents the Congressional district where it took place and has repeatedly declared “impeachment is off the table”.
