PROTEST
AT UNITED NATIONS TODAY AGAINST CONDOLEEZZA
RICE, WAR CRIMINAL
From
12 noon on, at 47th & 1st Ave
Condoleezza
Rice will be at the UN TODAY, working out a “deal” — allegedly to
resolve the war against Lebanon.
This is the U.S. official
who describes Israel’s
aggression against Lebanon
and demolition of this country as “the birth
pangs of a new Middle East”” The Bush regime has given full support
and weapons to Israel
to carry out atrocities against Lebanese civilians, all the while effectively
preventing a ceasefire.
The
World Can’t Wait – Drive Out the Bush Regime will be outside the UN from noon
on, protesting and demanding these war crimes be brought to a halt.
World
Can’t Wait spokesperson, Sunsara Taylor: “If people have the basis to know
about but refuse to recognize the terrible acts this government under the
current regime is committing in the Middle East and other parts of the world,
as well as within the U.S.
itself… If you do not act in a meaningful way to oppose this, then yes, you
are complicit in these crimes. If you’re
in NYC today and have a conscience, be at the UN.”
On
August 3, World Can’t Wait placed a full-page ad in The New York Times
featuring the world in flames and calling for a day of nationwide protests on
October 5th to bring the Bush regime crimes to a halt. (August 3, page A19, for
