Today, an “untraditional marriage” was held on the steps of City Hall in protest of the state’s defining of marriage as between a man and a woman. In the presence of several network T.V crews, President George W. Bush performed the marriage between Church, represented by a priest, and State, represented by a politician draped in the American flag. Before President Bush could declare the union final, activists from the group World Can’t Wait – Drive Out The Bush Regime came forward chanting, “The World Can’t Wait – Ban the Marriage Between Church and State!”
The President overruled the validity of this challenge on the grounds that the witness in question, “hates America and our freedoms,” then cemented the union between Church and State and proclaimed these blessed United States: A Theocracy!
