It’s Fallujah on the border. Bush plans to further militarize the US-Mexico border with the deployment of National Guard troops.
The border increasingly looks like a war zone, with immigrants treated as “the enemy”, racist vigilantes and sheriff organized posse’s patrolling the area, and the government planning new repressive measures, from walls to troop deployment to Halliburton built detention centers. Bush is expected to announce in his speech on immigration set for Monday night plans for deploying the military along the border. Does this sound like any kind of a way to treat human beings who are desperate for work and survival?
