The earth shattering scream of U.S jet planes flying over Iraq.  The guard dogs barking in front of FEMA villages and the cries of torture victims thrown down a legal black hole.  When faced with a regime out to radically remake society very quickly, in a facsist way, silence is unacceptable.

 


Jan.31st, the night of President Bush’s State of the Union Address, bring your instruments and noisemakers to protests in cities and town squares across the country to Bring the Noise and drown out Bush’s lies.  We are in a State of Emergency and sounding the alarm.  We are calling on all those in the music community; from garage bands and D.Js to violinists and drum circles to be part of changing the course of history and take to the streets the night of the 31st to create a cacophony of noise when Bush steps up to the mic at 9 P.M E.S.T.


 


This regime is immoral, unjust and indictably criminal.  Now is the time to act.  Bush won’t be forced to step down without mass resistance on the part of millions.


 

*Send this call over email lists far and wide.  Contact musicians and friends to bring their instruments, noisemakers, outrage and determination to the State of the Union Protests.
