Nov. 2nd over 50 students from Sayville high school in Long Island
stood up after the Pledege of Allegiance and walked out along with
thousands and thousands across the country supporting The World Can’t
Wait, Drive Out the Bush Regime effort.
They were all suspended by their principal. The punishment was, coupled
with increasing intimidation by the administration, has discouraged
some students from getting involved.
Monday, November 14th, an uncomprimising leader of the high school
movement in Long Island and others are going to have a meeting with the
school prinipal to establish a “political awareness club” that will
take up the World Can’t Wait. But the principal has been widely
spreading more intimidation through the school that this should not and
cannot happen.
We have a responsibility of reminding these students that they are NOT
ALONE. Everyone reading this needs to CALL in to JOSEPH BUDERMAN (the
Sayville High School Principal) and tell him:
1) The whole world is watching you, your school and what your courageous students are doing!
2) Stop intimidating students, and start encouraging them to fight for a future out of the grips of the Bush Regime
3) Make a public appology for suspending students who walked out on
Nov. 2nd, and make a public declaration that you support these students
taking history in their hands by approving their student group, and
making accomidations for them to bring to life vibrant resistance
against the Bush regime.
Call him ASAP on monday morning!
