Debra Sweet, director of
World Can’t Wait, has appeared on countless TV and radio programs. Her history
begins in when she was 1969: Richard Nixon had refused to speak to the press
for six months after the US
invasion of Cambodia.
When he finally appeared before the White House press corps, it was to make
awards for service to young Americans who, he said, were “not out
protesting.” When he handed Sweet her award, she told him that he was
responsible for killing millions of people in Southeast
Asia. He got angry, turned and left the room, making frontpage
news across the world.
Sunsara Taylor is a
member of the advisory board of World Can’t Wait. She is a writer for
Revolution newspaper and contributes to truthdig.com, counterpunch.com and other media
outlets. Sunsara has been a guest on “O’Reilly Factor” (Jan 4,
200&), “Hannity & Colmes,” “Fox and Friends,” NY1 TV, Air America radio,
Fox national radio, 1010 Wins, CNN. She has spoken on over 50 college campuses
and is a co-host on “Equal Time for Free Thought,” a Pacifica radio program.
Liam Madden is a 22-year old
former Marine, recently-returned from Iraq,
who helped organize the Appeal for Redress, a petition signed by over 1000
active-duty GI’s demanding an end to the war in Iraq. Liam has recently appeared on
NPR’s All Things Considered, CNN, and many other national media outlets. He is
currently on a national speaking tour with Sunsara Taylor to campuses and
military bases.
Elaine Brower is a
mother of a Marine who recently returned from Iraq. She is an activist with
World Can’t Wait and Military Families Speak Out. Her story and interviews have

Travis
Morales, a
leader of World Can’t Wait– Drive Out the Bush Regime in the Washington DC
area. Travis is a well-known Chicano activist from Texas, active for years in the immigration
movement, a founder of La Resistencia. He is frequently heard on CNN Spanish
radio, Pacifica, Univision, and many other US and

REV. LUIS BARRIOS, assistant
clergy at the City University of New York, recently returned from New Orleans
post-Katrina. He is a weekly columnist for El Diario and a leading figure
in New York Spanish speaking communities.

including a paid ad that Hot 97, the #1 hip-hop radio station in New York City, refused to
air.
Ann Wright quit a 27-year
career as a US diplomat and
military officer in March 2003 in a public protest of the invasion of Iraq. She helped
