Cindy Sheehan and WCW Organizers Arrested at Encampment
8PM this evening Cindy Sheehan, two WCW organizers from the
encampment, and many others were arrested for refusing to get up while
“dying in” in front of the fence of the White House! Hundreds of people
witnessed the event and forty reactionaries attended with signs that
said “Cindy Sheehan should go to Abu Ghraib.” See more later on the
website. This was part of actions all across the country today in
response to the 2,000th death of US military personnel in Iraq.

Protesters Interrupt Lecture by Prof. John Yoo
Professor John Yoo, who wrote legal justification for the use of
torture by the Bush regime, had his lecture disrupted by a
dramatization of torture. While Yoo was teaching a Constitutional Law
class at Boalt Law School, Univ. of CA, Berkeley, his students instead
got a real lesson in the horrors being perpetrated on in the so-called
“War on Terrorism,” and their professor’s role in this. More to come on this on the youth/student page.
