Sustain World Can’t Wait, until together we stop the crimes of this government
Individual supporters fund World Can’t Wait’s national operations by donating monthly. Sustainers pay expenses for our national office which is staffed by volunteers, with college and high school interns – a vital organizing hub providing critical resources for people across the country who want to stop the crimes of this government. Sustainers keep national newsletters coming, and 4 websites funded. Because of our sustainers we are able to organize a visible force of opposition to the wars, torture, and the fascistic direction within the US when it is needed more than ever.

Hello to everyone. Welcome to the national office!
Here is just one example of what we do here, and what could not happen without the national office:
Last March, on the anniversary of the Iraq war, there was a demonstration at the White House on Saturday and a march in Quantico, VA on Sunday demanding Free Bradley Manning. We came up with the idea of also reaching out to high school students on Friday with vets visiting classrooms as part of the We Are Not Your Soldiers tour. We gave people all over the country an opportunity to make this happen, sending out an appeal to the Veterans for Peace national elist and the World Can’t Wait supporters in the DC, Virginia, Maryland area asking for teacher contacts and vets to speak and spending hours on the phone and emailing with activists, vets and teachers. We got to know several new vets, several new high school teachers, supporters from DC distributed flyers at the high school and the students had the opportunity to discuss questions about the war, the military and recruiting.
None of that could have happened without the coordination of the national office.
