Public Enemy will speak and perform in Denver during the Democratic
National Convention, according to organizers of Re-create 68, reports

Public Enemy has agreed to play a free concert at 2 p.m. Aug. 26 in Civic Center park.

Re-create 68 co-founder Glenn Spagnuolo said Public Enemy’s free concert is “an action in itself.”
Spagnuolo said that Chuck D agreed to Re-create 68’s request to
perform because he was impressed with the speakers that the group has
lined up for its protests.

Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson said if Public Enemy is
set to appear, the concert will be seen as a routine part of DNC
festivities.

band with activist roots, will play the 9,000- seat Denver Coliseum on
Aug. 27.
