The Bush regime has methodically and egregiously promoted itself and its policies on the basis of outrageous deceptions and secrecy. One only has to do a minimal search of the internet to find massive amounts of information and evidence pointing to the continual use of deception as a primary tool to further the Bush agenda and the pursuit and prosecution of the unjust war of Iraq for empire. It is the same mode of operation that the Bush regime continues to use for its case against Iran.
This mode of operation is notably documented in an article by the Center for Public Integrity, Investigative Journalism in the Public Interest entitled, “False Pretenses”. http://www.publicintegrity.org/WarCard/ (The Center for Public Integrity, located in Washington D.C., is a nonprofit, non-partisan, and non-advocacy organization dedicated to producing responsible investigative journalism on issues of public concern.) This article points to no less than 935 documented false statements made by the Bush regime just in the two years following the September 11, 2001 attacks. The article’s opening headline reads, “Following 9/11, President Bush and seven top officials of his administration waged a carefully orchestrated campaign of misinformation about the threat posed by Saddam Hussein’s Iraq.”
When one considers the fact that one president can be impeached for simple perjury over a sexual impropriety, why has the Bush regime not been brought to accountability in the media, the congress, the senate, or in the courts? As the long list of incredible falsehoods and fabrications of the Bush regime continues to be laid bare by the day, about the war, about Iran, about terrorism, about the economy, and on and on ad nauseam, incredibly the Bush regime continues to function, continues its agenda, and continues its crimes unabated and virtually unchallenged in any significant way by anyone in power. Unless the “business as usual” of the Bush regime is brought to a halt there may be no end to the murderous effects of the lies and crimes of the Bush regime.
