Looking forward to a restful vacation or a business meeting
outside of the U.S.?
Better watch what you say, then!
In another attempt to control our freedom of speech, a well
known and respected Constitutional scholar (scholar = obscene word to the
administration) from Princeton, Walter Murphy
has been added to the Transportation Security Administration’s terror watch
list.
Is Walter Murphy a terrorist operative? Probably not. Murphy
is the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence, Emeritus at Princeton University.
Murphy is also a decorated Marine who served in the Korean War and was a
reservist for 19 years.
What has darkened this respectable past? With no crystal
ball in hand, my guess is it just might be his televised speech, in which he
slammed George Bush’s executive overreach.
When Murphy attempted to check his luggage curbside in Albuquerque prior to boarding a plane to Newark. N.J. he was told he was not allowed
to use this service. He was then informed he had been placed on the Terrorist
Watch list.
Murphy inquiring the clerk why he was on the list, Murphy
was asked if he had participated in any peace marches. “We ban a lot of people
from flying because of that”, another clerk offered.
Murphy, shocked, explained that while he had not marched he had
“in September 2006, given a lecture at Princeton,
televised and uploaded to the Web. It was highly critical of George Bush for
his many violations of the constitution.”
The clerk said simply,” That”ll do it”.
Murphy was eventually allowed aboard but warned his luggage
was likely to be “ransacked”. On his return trip his luggage was lost. A
mistake I’m sure, right”sure.
This may seem like a small story but we at World Can’t Wait
share it for you and you friends. GET OUT THE WORD!!!
We, who understand, MUST blow a trumpet and awaken a
sleeping public to the fact that fascism is not just creeping toward us, step
by step, but is here already.
There is only one hope for freedom in the United States.
We must impeach Bush/Chaney before the comparisons between the U.S. and
fascism and Nazism become forever blurred.
