How do you reach two million students in two days? MySpace!
Support the World Can’t Wait MySpace ad campaign now.
World Can’t Wait is going to break new ground with the first anti-Bush advertising campaign on
MySpace.com. MySpace reaches 40
million people daily. Most high school
students log onto MySpace just as often as they check their email, so political
movements grow and actions are promoted as students share information via
MySpace. A high school student who was
part of the massive walkouts against the anti-immigrant Sensenbrenner bill said
“You have cell phones, you have Blackberries, you have MySpace.com. You have lots of ways that young people are
communicating that didn’t happen in 1968 the way it is now. Young people themselves are gaining
leadership.”
- The
MySpace ad will run this Sunday and Monday - The ad
will reach 2 million people, mainly youth, in our final push to October 5. - Cost
for 2 days: $5000.00 - Dozens
of people are signing up on the World Can’t Wait MySpace profile page per
day simply from the dedicated work of student volunteers. After this
ad hits we will have thousands of people signing up per day, sending the
message to all of their friends about October 5, and building from there!
Dozens of students are traveling to campuses to
organize other students. They need travel
stipends and peanut butter for their sandwiches!
The ad was designed by Michael Kabbash, creator of Graphix4Change.
